Thai Boxing

This week we have been learning about Thailand in global citizenship week. In this wonderful week  we have found out that Thai Boxing is the National Sport for Thai people. Mr.Ellis showed us a video of Thai children Thai Boxing with each other. They lived in outragous conditions, as they had to live away from their parents so they could earn money. As they got injured in the ring adults had a bet on who would win. If they won a match they would get $6,000 but if they lost they won $4,000 they had to give $3,000 to their trainer and send the rest back home.

mosquitos

mosquitos are deadly when they have malaria, they can spread it easily and it injects malaria into its blood, malaria dosnt have any effect on mosquitos, they like areas like rice paddies.

Global citizen week

At school we are having global citizens week.
in this week each class is thinking about a country that is a developing country.
our class are working on the country Thailand
we have went on the internet and have found out lots of facts
about how people in Thailand live and if there are any similar things that we do and also the people in Thailand do.
We also have made powerpoints about different things children at Thailand do. We still have lots of different activities that we are going to do

This week we are lerning about Thailand we get to learn about the exotic places.And the lives of the children.It is very fasinating about the country.We are also lerning about the capital city they have 6.6million people living in bankok this very moment.Then for are home work we had to find out at least ten facts about the city.

Global Citizens Week

This week in the whole of  Mersey Vale it is Global Citizens week!
Each class has a different country and ours was Thailand. First we started of with making posters about some of the key words to do with Global Citizens. We were learning about how children's lives are and  we compared them with ours. We have also made leaflets to show how a Global Citizen works and we have to share our facts in a simple way so that Reception kids will understand. It has actually been very exciting learning about Thailand and we can't wait to do more!

This week we have been learning about global citizens.We are asked to learn about a developing country . On Tuesday, we were learning about what the word global and citizen means.We also made some powerpoints about life in Thailand. We had to find out what was school like for children and also what the toys were like.


Today, it is Wednesday and we are finishing our powerpoints and some children are even performing theirs which is very exciting for us.
