How the Moon was formed!!!

Recently, in our school

year five have been learning about space.

For example, we have

 been learning about the moon,the sun

and also every other planet in our solar system.

The Moon was formed billions and billionsof years ago.

It was formed by

two planets which collided together.

This collision took thousands and thousands

of years to form.

Firstly, a planet, which

was the size of Mars collided into the Earth.

This made the Earth to crash and loose some

of its pieces. However, the rest

was forming into a big, rocky ball which

would be named Moon.

Since thousands of years  the moon was formed.

This is how we have the MOON !!!

How the moon was formed

I am going to explain how the moon was formed. So a long time ago an asteroid the size of mars hit the earth and it caused an absolute massive impact to the ground of earth. Furthermore all the rock sand and bits of scrap were then carried all the way to space. With the scrap in space, later it started to form a big ball. This probably took a billion of years. After that it became earth's moon. That is scientists prediction of how the moon was formed.

How was Earth formed

Scientist believe  that 14 billion years ago the largest planets such as Jupiter was just a small piece of rock.
So when all the planets we're stuck in a hole the planets kept pressure  and we're spinning really fast.
 However keeping speed all of them blew out and started to grow .Scientist called it the Big Bang.
And then they became ENORMOUS!

How the Earth and the Moon was made

Today we are going to tell you all about how the Earth and Moon was made. When a planet, which was the size of Mars, came towards the Earth it all of a sudden collided onto Earth which made our planet fall into pieces. After  that the pieces came together and formed the Earth and our Moon. For over centuries our Earth and Moon have developed there colour. Also the Moon has craters all over it because  lots of asteroid's over the years have crashed onto the Moon.

How The Moon Was Formed!

The Moon was formed when a planet the size of Mars crashed into the Earth. The Earth was just becoming how the Earth looks today. When the two planets collided the debris spread out into space as the Moon was forming the Earth was forming to and that took over millions of years. Therefore the Moon has become what it is today and that is how the Moon was made!

Why we have Day and Night

We have Day because half of the planet is facing the Sun while the rest of the planet is facing away  from the extremely hot  Sun.  The Earth spins on It's axis therefore every part of the Earth gets Day and Night.

How Our Moon Was Formed:

Billions of years ago the Moon was formed.
Here it goes...

A young Earth was growing. But a proto-planet the size of Mars was approaching the Earth. It was getting closer and closer and closer until suddenly it collided into the Earth! It was a high impact!

The Earth absorbed a lot of the proto-planet. But what happened to the rest of it...
The rest of it became debris. That debris started forming into a ball because gravity pulled it in making it collect everything that went past it. Soon it started to orbit the Earth.

Would we be able to live without a moon?

We wouldn't be able to live without a Moon because at night time we wouldn't have anything that would absorb the Sun's light so we wouldn't be able to see anything at night.
