Hello my name is khizar. I'm 10 years old and I go to Mersey Vale, I'm in year 5. I saw Bailey on Friday. It was awesome. I played catch the ball with him and was very happy.


I took photos of him. It was like it was my dog because I played with him for a long time.

Hello everybody!

It's me Amani again and today I'm telling you about my teacher's dog. He is called Bailey. He is 7 years old which

is 49 human years. Today we have been playing with him and we have given him some water and a brush.

We are going to be having him all afternoon till it is hometime.

Well that is all I have to say and the whole class will be

keeping in touch with all of you , even me.

I have some more news to share with you.

This week we have been doing something the whole school is doing. It started a week a go and this is walk to school (green miles ) ,it has been so much fun.

Also in our lessons we have been learning about time it isn't too easy but I find it easy.

Furthermore we have been learning poetry. We haven't started it so i can't tell you so much.

This week has been so much fun.

Green miles competitoin

At Mersey vale we are having a green

miles competition, it's very exiting.

Everyone has to walk to school

to keep the environment healthy.

Everybody gets a green miles

 passport so that we know if

 people have walked or not!!!

The green miles competion

is for two weeks. On Friday,

which is at the end of the week,

we get prizes if we've walked

or cycled all week. We also get

a map. If you have walked

your passport gets stamped

and you will get at sticker for

your class' map! When you've

gone all around the countries on the

map you might win on Friday!!!

NOOOO!

NOOOOOO!!! Term is over!
This term we have been learning about authors and we learned that you have to have an imagination and you should have good ideas. We have also been doing some instruction writing but we have also starting doing poetry and we have been looking at poems. Today we looked at a poem called The Frozen Man, it was a weird poem but I found it interesting.

In maths we have been learning about the 24 hour clock recently, we started that on Monday. We have also learned about shapes, WE HAVE LEARNED A LOT THIS TERM!
 In science we have been learning about how to keep our bodies healthy. We have had lots of discussions  about how to keep our bodies healthy.

In music we have been learning how to have rhythm. We also been playing some music too.

Well that's all we have done , it is a lot of things, and we hope to see you all soon because it is going to be our half term holiday.

Hey everyone! How you doing! We are learning about measures. I really like what we always learned but I don't like learning about this. I am very happy to tell you all the things we have been learning. Even though I don't enjoy this ill try to be positive!!!!!! Yesterday we all were learning about measuring!! Oh yeah! All the things we have done this term.

We are all going to be on holiday for one week at the end of this week. We have done many different topics. For example in maths we have done shapes, measuring, calculating and time and much more but I don't remember it feels long ago. In Literacy we have been looking at stories, (Tension writing) instructions and now this week we have started Mr Ellis's favourite thing in literacy POEMS. We have done much more but if I go on about it I will need more space. After the holiday in the school we are going to have festivel week and our class is doing Eid. I will keep you guys updated on the festival day

Today in our assembly we had so much fun. In our class 6 people brought their toys. My friend brought her photo and there were other people as well.

Today in Y5 we had our sharing assembly. Samuel brought in his cool Lego, Kayne brought in his net book yes his own NET BOOK. It cost £200!!!!! Is it me or do I keep on shouting? I dont think I have time to talk. Oh and all the other people who shared brought in cool stuf as well.

THE MAYOR CAME TO OUR SCHOOL TODAY!!!!!!!

Today the mayor of Stockport came to our school and came to our classroom. Year six came along too. He talked about Stockport  and what it's like to be the mayor. He wore a big chain. It was real gold. He had to wear the big chain because it represents him of the mayor of stockport. His chain looks very heavy.

The Mayor has come to my class!!

The Mayor has came to the school to tell us about the previous Mayors and mayorsesses and about the politics and the history of the Mayors and maryoresses. He talked about how they became Mayor and Mayoress. The mayor has been in Buckingham palace in some parts not in the private part. byAlex

Today the mayor visited Mersey Vale. I was so excited. He had this chain around his neck,I don't know why. He told us about his self  and his wife but my favoutite thing is the power point. Hhe gave an award to a girl in our class. She had to be a teacher because she knows so much. Today in maths we did some measuring work.

Our kind teacher,Mr Ellis showed us some measuring equipment such as measuring tapes, cylinders, pipettes and lots of interesting equipment.

After our teacher showed us all the equipment we set off and did some work in our maths book.

What we had to do was write a lot of information about each piece of equipment.

Go Green

This week we have an Eco friendly week where we walk to school every day and then we get a stamp. Then if you have walked or cycled to school then you get a sticker on your map and the first class to get all around their country then get a prize and it's happening for two weeks. It is kind of a big fuss for year five and year six school council because we are the ones stamping the fake passports. So we have to wake up early and we have to make sure that we get everyone or their class won't get an extra sticker.
Even though I am school council and have to wake up early it is still fun!

Football Match!

Yesterday after school me and the other members of the school football team played football against a school called Norris Bank.
We lost 5-2 but on the bright side our goals were built up with nice passing. They scored good goals too but there wasn't much team work in their goals. I scored in the second half and Jacob a friend in year 6 scored a very good goal in the first half!

Today we had the biggest game of tig I have had in a while and I really enjoyed it and we are going to continue it tomorrow.

Today Miss Mather announced the SCHOOL COUNCIL!

School Council is very exciting but I am going to start from the beginning of the school day.
First we were at our tables waiting to do a challenge as early work when someone said they are going to announce the school council today!
And everybody fired up and we all got butterflies in our stomach and excited for the assembly to begin.
Well I will skip the lessons and go right to the assembly.
Miss Mather announced The School Council she started from KS1 and then went up.
And in Year five I WON!
I was so excited I didn't think about anything else it was so amazing that I got on the School Council.
